Why the desk asks for a screenshot
Deposits for every exchange on this site are arranged in the WhatsApp chat, and UPI is the route most readers use, with bank transfer the other common one. When your payment arrives, it carries a payer name, a reference number, an amount and a time. It does not carry your cricket ID. The screenshot is the bridge between the two.
Think of it from the desk's side. Several payments land through the day for several exchanges. Yours has to be picked out and credited to a Skyexchange login rather than a Reddybook one. A clear screenshot with the ID in the caption makes that a lookup. A blurry one, or none, makes it a search.
Minimum deposits differ by exchange and change over time, so we don't print them. The desk confirms the current figure in the chat before you pay.
What a good screenshot shows
Take it from the success screen, the one your UPI app shows once the payment has gone through. Not the confirm screen, not the history list, the success screen. It should contain all of these.
- Status. A word or tick that says the payment completed. A pending or processing status means wait, then capture again.
- Reference or UTR number. The long transaction number. This is the field the desk matches on first, so it must be readable end to end.
- Amount. The figure you sent, as the app shows it.
- Date and time. Both, if the app shows both.
- Payee name or UPI ID. Exactly as the desk gave it to you in the chat. If this doesn't match what the desk sent, say so before anything else.
- Your caption. Not in the image, in the WhatsApp message: the exchange name and your ID, typed exactly, capitals included.
If your app splits these across two screens, send two screenshots in one message. Two clear images beat one that's been squeezed.
What to hide and what to leave visible
You can and should crop out your bank balance, other transactions in a history list, and any card number that appears on the screen. None of that helps the desk and none of it should be floating around in a chat.
Do not hide the reference number, the status, the amount, the time or the payee. Every one of those is a matching field. We've seen screenshots with the reference blurred "for security", and the only result is that the screenshot comes back with a request to send it again. The reference number identifies a payment that has already happened; it can't be used to take money from you.
Use your phone's crop tool rather than a marker that covers half the screen. Keep the edges of the success card in the frame so the desk can see it's one screen, not a collage.
What never travels with a screenshot
- Your UPI PIN. The desk has no use for it and will never ask.
- An OTP from your bank or your UPI app. Not to "verify the deposit", not for any reason.
- Your cricket ID password. The desk issued the ID; it does not need the password back.
- Card numbers, CVV or a photo of the card.
- A screen-sharing or remote-access app. Nobody genuine asks you to install one to fix a credit.
If any chat asks for one of these, you are not talking to the desk. Compare the number with the official channels page and read the copycat guide.
The steps, in order
- Ask for the payment details in the chat. Name your exchange and your ID. The desk sends the UPI ID or bank details to pay to. Use those, not details from an earlier week.
- Pay from your own UPI app. Check the payee name on the confirm screen against what the desk sent. If it differs, stop and ask.
- Wait for the success screen. If the app shows pending, leave it. Don't pay again. Pending payments either complete or return to you.
- Take the screenshot. Status, reference, amount, time and payee all in frame.
- Crop. Remove balance and unrelated history. Keep the reference whole.
- Send it in the same chat. Caption: exchange name, your ID, and the word "deposit". One message.
- Wait for the desk to confirm. The reply names the ID and the amount credited. Check your balance after that, not before.
The cricket ID on WhatsApp page has a copyable template for step one and step six if you'd rather not type them fresh.
Mistakes we see every week
| What went wrong | Why it stalls | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Screenshot of the confirm screen | Shows a payment about to happen, not one that did | Wait for the success screen and capture that |
| Pending status in the image | The desk cannot credit money that has not landed | Wait, then send a fresh capture showing completed |
| Reference number cropped or blurred | Nothing to match the payment on | Resend with the full reference visible |
| No exchange or ID in the caption | The desk has to ask which login to credit | Always caption with exchange and ID |
| Paid to details from an old chat | Details change; the money may have gone to a route no longer in use | Tell the desk at once and send the screenshot anyway |
| Sent to a number that messaged you first | That was not the desk | Read the safety page and contact the real desk |
| Two payments for one deposit | A pending first payment was repeated | Send both screenshots and let the desk reconcile |
If the credit still does not show
Scroll back and check three things: the payee you paid matches what the desk sent, the status on your screenshot says completed, and the desk has actually replied to confirm. If all three are true and the balance hasn't moved, reply in the same chat with the screenshot again and the words "not credited yet". Don't open a new chat and don't pay again.
If the desk's confirmation named a different amount or a different ID from what you expected, say so in one message with both figures. Most mismatches are a typo in a caption and are sorted in the same thread. The help page lists what else to include, and the how to get an online cricket ID page covers the first deposit for a brand new login. Withdrawals have their own guide: why a withdrawal is late.
