What a demo cricket ID is, and what it is not
We issue demos for one reason. Most people who message us have never seen an exchange screen before. They know cricket, they may have used a bookmaker app, but back and lay columns, session runs markets and a slip that asks for a stake and a liability are new. A demo lets you click around and make mistakes with a balance that does not matter.
It is not a free bet. Nothing you win on a demo can be withdrawn, and nothing you lose costs you anything. Treat it as the shop floor before the shop opens.
It is also not a second class of account. The demo is issued by the same desk, from the same WhatsApp number, and tied to the same mobile number you will use later. When you switch to a live ID you are talking to the people who already know your name.
How to ask the desk for a cricket id demo
The chat is short. Here is the order it usually runs in.
- Open the WhatsApp chat. Use the button on this page. If you are not sure the number is right, check it against our official channels page first.
- Name the exchange. Say which one you want to try. If you have not decided, say so and the desk will ask what you want to bet on and how you like to play. Our exchange comparison helps if you would rather decide yourself.
- Send your name and mobile number. The demo is linked to that number, so use the phone you will keep.
- Confirm you are 18 or older. The desk asks every time. It also checks that it can serve your location.
- Receive the demo login. The desk sends the login link and a username in the chat. You set the password on the platform yourself.
That is the whole process. No deposit, no screenshot, no waiting on a bank.
A real demo never involves
- A payment of any size, described as a fee, a hold or a refundable deposit.
- A request for your password, your OTP, your card number or your UPI PIN.
- An APK sent as a file attachment before you have asked for anything.
- A second number that appears mid-chat and asks you to continue there.

What you can practise on a demo
Spend your demo time on the things that trip people up with real money. In our experience that is this list.
- Back versus lay. Place one of each on the same match and watch what happens to the slip. Our back, lay and session guide walks through a worked over if you want the theory first.
- Liability. Lay a short price and see how much the slip says you could lose. That number surprises almost everyone the first time.
- Session markets. Find the runs-in-over markets, note how fast they refresh, and try placing a bet between balls.
- Odds movement. Leave a market open during a live game and watch the price change after a wicket. You will learn why unmatched bets exist.
- The casino tab. Open it once so you know where it is and how it differs from the sports book. Nothing more is needed.
- Mobile layout. Log in from your phone browser as well as a laptop. Most people end up betting from the phone, so that is the screen to learn.
What a demo cannot show you
A demo is honest about the screen and silent about the money. These are the parts you only meet on a funded ID.

Moving from the demo to a live ID
When the screen stops confusing you, go back to the same chat and say you are ready. The desk explains the deposit route, you send the payment and the screenshot, and a live login arrives on the same mobile number. Your demo username is usually retired at that point so the two are never mixed up.

Who can skip the demo
If you have used a betting exchange before, even a different one, the layout will look familiar and you can go straight to a live ID through our step by step guide. The desk does not mind either way.
Everyone else, take the demo. We have watched too many first-timers lay a favourite for a stake they meant to back, and the slip did exactly what they told it to. A few evenings on play money would have saved them the lesson.
